Jaren Lopez’s art documents his present experience. His work captures his continual interaction with materials extracted from paint (raw pigments and binders). He makes markings and embellishes them through conceptual exercises and expressive choices that reflect his inner world. The artworks are emotive renderings of his creative exploration and pursuit for a lighter being.

He was born in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles where he currently lives and works as a Film and Television Editor. He focuses on his artwork in his spare time and in his backyard where he is surrounded by his energetic children and supportive partner.
